Amazing SCIA structural engineering projects
The Confluences Museum - Lyon, France
The size and complexity of the museum made it a very special challenge to design the different sub-structures: the base, the cloud and the crystal. Load panels were used to apply the wind tunnel loads and the “absences” tool proved quite useful. The full model contains 27,000 nodes, 32,000 beams and 7,000 load panels.
Container Hall - Mannheim City, Germany
A new weather-protected space was urgently needed for truck maintenance on the new GTS-Mannheim production site.
Wooden Ball
The “Wooden Ball” viewing platform – with its total height of 40.0 m – is located in Steinberg am See.
Stadium - Dunajská Streda
The football stadium in Dunajská Streda, a town in Slovakia, originally opened in 1953. Since then, it has undergone several modernizations and renovations.
Snowman
The engineering office Atelier P.H.A. analysed the complete 3D model of the snowman structure in SCIA Engineer.
Aquarium
The aquarium is located at the coast in Canet-en-Roussillon, France. The building is composed of three blocks separated by expansion joints.
